Emerald for 2013

Pantone's color of the year for 2013 is EMERALD. They describe it as "a lively, radiant, lush green," and it will no doubt be showing up in the wedding world this year. When I think of Emerald, I think of two things: 1. Wicked (the Wizard of Oz prequel musical), and 2. The Emerald Coast (the beautiful beaches of Florida's panhandle). Those are two of my favorite things, so what's not to love about this color?? It works well for a vintage vibe when paired with gold, brooches and lace, but it's also great for a modern bride in bold prints like chevron.
